Upcoming Classes & Events

Weekend Walkabouts
Weekly group walks every Saturday (weather permitting) in a different location each week, with a variety of environments (downtown, trails, parks, etc.) and distractions. This is a great opportunity to practice your dogs' manners in public, improve leash skills and socialize! Weekly registration is requested, but you need not commit to the entire series.

Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Class
This 4-week class is focused on the skills that comprise the AKC Canine Good Citizen certification. If your dogs have already learned their basic skills, this class would be a great next step in their training! During the first three sessions, your dogs will learn and practice the ten test items as they are evaluated for the certification. During the final session you and your dogs will demonstrate all ten skills for the actual CGC evaluation. These skills include leash manners, greeting people & dogs and reliably coming when called.

Manners Booster Class
This 5-week class will concentrate on leash manners, greeting people & dogs and reliably coming when called. The curriculum will also cover the ten skills that make up the Canine Good Citizen certification. The CGC evaluation will occur during an additional (optional) sixth class. A great choice for dogs with a good understanding of basic skills, and looking to continue their training in more real-world situations.

Advanced (Community) Canine Good Citizen Class
Join us for a 6-week Advanced Canine Good Citizen (CGC) class starting next month! Also known as Community CGC, the curriculum builds on the foundational skills that comprise the basic CGC by working with your dog in public settings. The AKC Community CGC was developed to show that your dog can demonstrate the CGC skills and more in a setting that includes traffic, crowds, noises, smells and other distractions that are present in public areas. A great opportunity to take your dog’s training to the next level!
